Cloete stars for Van Graan’s Munster

Chris Cloete Cloete stars for Van Graan’s Munster
Published on November 26, 2017 | Leave a response

Chris Cloete was named Man of the Match as Munster beat Zebre 36-19, while there were also victories for the Glasgow Warriors, Leinster, Cardiff Blues, Ulster, Scarlets and Cheetahs in the Pro14.

Munster held a slender 17-14 half-time lead, but shut out Zebre in the second half to ensure that coach Johann van Graan won his first match in charge.

Cloete, starting at openside flank, created all sorts of problems for Zebre at the breakdown and on defence.

REPORT: Cheetahs pound Edinburgh

In other matches, the Glasgow Warriors ran in seven tries to thrash the Ospreys 47-6, Leinster hammered the Dragons 54-10 at home, the Cardiff Blues upset Connacht 36-30 in a riveting clash, and a last-gasp conversion by Christian Leali’ifano ensured that Ulster claimed an unconvincing 23-22 win over Treviso.
