Greig Laidlaw kicked 16 points to help Clermont claim a 33-13 victory over Lyon in the Top 14 semi-finals in Bordeaux on Sunday.
Clermont, who finished second overall on the table, will meet first-placed Toulouse in the final at the Stade de France in Paris on Saturday.

They have the opportunity to grab their second French title in just two seasons.
Laidlaw only started the game due to an ankle injury suffered by Morgan Parra, but still managed an important contribution, slotting four penalties and two conversions, while Damian Penaud, Alivereti Raka and George Moala all crossed for tries for Clermont.
No 8, Deon Fourie, scored a late try to keep Lyon in the game, but it was not enough to see them through to their first Top 14 final.
Lyon opened the scoring through flank Liam Gill inside the opening 10 minutes before flyhalf Jonathan Wisniewski and Laidlaw traded penalties to see the visitors lead 8-3.
However, Clermont took control of the game as Laidlaw added a further two penalties before Penaud crossed over in the corner for their first try after a superb backline move to make it 16-8 at half-time.
Things got worse for Lyon at the start of the second half as prop Clement Ric was yellow-carded for persistent errors. Clermont were quick to punish this as Raka added a second try, with Laidlaw’s conversion making it 23-8 with 25 minutes remaining.
Fourie then went over from a driving maul, but it mattered little as Laidlaw kicked a fourth penalty before centre Moala went over late to seal the victory.
