I believe the Chiefs won at Newlands because of their superior ball handling (they made 17 offloads) and their ability to beat the defender (which they did 28 times). The Chiefs boast the ability to support the pass and to run onto the ball at pace.
Crucially, the man doesn’t beat the man, the ball beats the man.
