Chiefs to investigate stripper saga

The stripper hired by the Chiefs for their post-season party says the players wanted her to be a 'whore'.

'Scarlette' said she was initially hired to do one-hour waitressing then a strip performance at a Waikato hot pools venue. According to her, the players involved were behaving badly and touched her despite being warned not to.

'I made it very clear that I didn't want to be touched, even though I had a smile on my face it doesn't affect the words coming out of [my] mouth – that was just me maintaining my professionalism, trying to get out of there safely.

'Things escalated. Basically, they wanted me to be a whore, which I wasn't there to be. And when I went to collect payment they short-changed me and basically just made it very hostile and I had to leave immediately, because I was quite upset.'

Chiefs boss Andrew Flexman has already announced that an investigation into the event is underway, saying the franchise does not condone strippers being hired.

'In no way does the Chiefs as an organisation condone the actions of the players in engaging the stripper,' he said.
