Adriaan Strauss has been cited following a tip tackle that occurred during the Cheetahs' defeat to the Stormers at Newlands.

The tackle, on Jacobus van Wyk in the first half of the match, saw referee Stuart Berry brandish a yellow card following a television review.

Upon further investigation though, the citing commisioner has deemed it a red-cardable offence and as such, Strauss will face a judicial hearing later this week.

Should he be found guilty, he will run the risk of missing some or all of the Springboks incoming Test matches.
