Joey Carbery will start at flyhalf for Ireland against Italy in Chicago on Saturday.
The 23-year-old has started just three of his 12 Tests but gets the No 10 jersey ahead of Johnny Sexton, who is rested this week.
Luke McGrath is at scrumhalf, with Jordan Larmour at fullback in the absence of the injured Rob Kearney. Bundee Aki and Garry Ringrose are in the midfield.
Ireland will be captained by flank Rhys Ruddock, who is joined in the loose trio by Josh van der Flier and Jack Conan.
Flyhalf Ross Byrne and centre Will Addison will make their Test debuts if they come off the bench.
