WPRFU president Thelo Wakefield says the Springboks would receive 'overwhelming' support if they played the All Blacks at Newlands next year.
On Tuesday, Sanzar released the draw for a condensed 2015 Rugby Championship, which sees everyone playing everyone else just once ahead of the World Cup.
The Springboks will take on the All Blacks and Argentina at home, with Saru still to decide the venues.
Newlands last hosted a Springboks vs All Blacks Test in 2008, with Saru since preferring to hold the fixture in Johannesburg, at Soccer City or Ellis Park.
One of the reasons for this is that the All Blacks receive a lot of support from Capetonians, many of whom also cheer for the Crusaders in Super Rugby.
However, Wakefield told Die Burger that the WPRFU will send a letter to Saru president Oregan Hoskins to consider handing the All Blacks Test to Newlands.
Wakefield said the 'Cape's people deserve it' and dismissed the notion that the Boks won't be well supported.
'The support for the Boks here is overwhelming. We saw recently how the crowd backed the Boks in their game against the Wallabies. It will be the same against the All Blacks.'
