Former Kings scrumhalf Cameron Wright has been named on the Sharks’ bench in a late change to their match 23 for Friday’s Super Rugby Unlocked match against the Cheetahs.
The Sharks confirmed late on Friday afternoon that replacement scrumhalf Grant Williams had sustained an injury and was therefore withdrawn from the playing squad.
Wright has been brought in to fill the vacant spot on the bench because regular scrumhalf replacement Jaden Hendrikse is himself not yet fully fit.
Wright has previously played for the Sharks, but after making the move to the Kings, he was one of those players facing an uncertain future after the franchise went into liquidation.
However, he has now popped up in Durban again, where he will be hoping there could be an opportunity to revive his career.
Kick off in the match between the Sharks and Cheetahs tonight is at 7pm.
