The Vodacom Bulls confirmed they have encouraged the complainants to lay a charge after a nasty fight broke out among fans in the stands this past weekend.

Several images and videos of a nasty fan fight have flooded social media, but the Bulls will not shy away from taking strong action to stamp out such unruly elements.

A Bulls spokesperson confirmed to SA Rugby magazine that they will not be making further comments on the issue as SAPS now has jurisdiction over the incident.

‘The culprits were removed from the stands. They were taken to the SAPS charge office at the stadium and handed over to the SAPS. We also encouraged the complainants to open a charge.

‘We can use the incident to work forward and reassure Loftus [Versfeld] patrons that this sort of behaviour will not tolerated by the BBCo.’
