Captain Marcell Coetzee has withdrawn from the Bulls’ Currie Cup clash against the Lions on Sunday.
Coetzee was initially selected in the Bulls’ starting lineup after recovering from Covid-19 which kept him sidelined for a couple of weeks.
On Sunday, hours before kick off, a report surfaced stating that Coetzee is still fighting the virus and that he had been pulled out of the Match-day squad.
He has reportedly been replaced by Arno Botha in the loose trio with centre Cornal Hendricks taking over the captaincy.
The match kicks off at 3:15pm.
