The Eastern Province Kings have signed Tony Jantjies ahead of the 2015 season.
Jantjies, the brother of Lions No 10 Elton, was third in the Bulls' flyhalf pecking order behind Handré Pollard and Jacques-Louis Potgieter.
'He is a young, exciting player, able to take the ball to the line and is great on both attack and defence,' said EP Kings coach Carlos Spencer. 'He has a lot of physicality and comes from a similar mould as Elton, so I’m really looking forward to working with him.'
Meanwhile, the Kings have confirmed that senior defence coach Michael Horak has been released from his contract to join the Sharks. Horak had originally signed with the Kings on a five-year deal.
In other news, Kings wing Paul Perez is facing deportation back to Samoa after being taken into custody during a surprise swoop by Home Affairs officials. According to The Herald, Perez was taken into custody on Friday after he disappeared for two days and was subsequently fired by the Kings.
