The Vodacom Bulls have reportedly confirmed that several fans were evicted from Loftus Versfeld after violence broke out during the game against the Jaguares on Saturday.
Images of fans fighting emerged over social media following the loss to the Jaguares.
According to Sport24, the Bulls are still awaiting further information about the incident from stadium security.
However, head of communications Shanil Mangaroo did confirm that the fans involved in the violence were removed from the stadium, emphasising the Pretoria-based franchise’s zero-tolerance policy on such incidents.
‘The BBCo can confirm that the culprits were swiftly apprehended and removed from the stands,’ a statement read. ‘They were taken to the SAPS charge office at the stadium and handed over to the SAPS.
‘Loftus patrons can be assured that this sort of behaviour will not tolerated by the BBCo, and together with our security company we will take a zero tolerance approach to any similar incidents.’
