The Vodacom Bulls have confirmed that new signing Nafi Tuitavake has linked up with the team after visa issues delayed his arrival in South Africa.
Tuitavake joined the Bulls for the 2020 Vodacom Super Rugby season, but had a potential first run-out with the team during the warm-ups delayed after experiencing a problem with his visa.
However, the Bulls confirmed on Saturday that the Tongan centre had arrived in the country, but it is too late for him to take part in Sunday’s SuperHero friendly against the Lions at the FNB Stadium in Soweto.
Tuitavake is expected to boost the Bulls’ midfield stocks, which have suffered after the departure of Bok centre Jesse Kriel to Japan.
The 30-year-old has played 14 Tests for his country and was involved in the 2019 World Cup until he fractured his arm in a pool stage match against England.
