Former Springbok hooker Schalk Brits believes the Boks could look to target England's lineout when they meet at Twickenham on 12 November.
One area of strength for the Boks during the Rugby Championship was at the lineout, where they boasted a 93.2% success rate.
And while the Boks can call on formidable lineout exponents such as Lood de Jager, Eben Etzebeth and Pieter-Steph du Toit on their end-of-year tour, England have lost top locks Maro Itoje and George Kruis to injury.
'The lineouts could be a weakness for them [England], which we can try and exploit. George usually takes the lead there,' Brits commented.
However, he said coach Eddie Jones had provided England with better structure and suggested it would be a match where the Boks would struggle to secure a positive result.
'I think the current England side is a more complete team compared to the one who won the 2003 World Cup. They are young, but a very special group. The confidence in the Bok squad is probably low and that's why it's important to build momentum.
'It's going to be a tough tour. England will be difficult to beat, especially with the momentum they have. After that it's Italy before another tough Test against Wales.'
