Vodacom Bulls hooker Schalk Brits will not be fined for criticising Sanzaar’s judicial process after his suspension earlier this season.
Brits was handed a four-match suspension after being red-carded for an altercation with Sharks hooker Akker van der Merwe during the Bulls’ victory at Kings Park.
Prior to his return to action against the Crusaders, Brits hit out at the Sanzaar judiciary, questioning the application of the rules in disciplinary cases involving South African players.
‘As a rugby player I feel that we get the short end of the stick a lot of times in South Africa,’ Brits said at the time. ‘I really think they need to reassess the process.’

It was reported earlier this month that Sanzaar had informed the Bulls that they were considering charging Brits for bringing the governing body into disrepute, which could have carried a fine of up to R100 000.
However, Sunday newspaper Rapport stated that Sanzaar will not take the matter any further after Brits provided them with a 20-page document detailing the reasons for his criticism.
