Stormers coach Robbie Fleck has confirmed that Springbok locks Eben Etzebeth and Pieter-Steph du Toit will be rested for this Saturday's clash with the Kings.

As part of the Bok player management policy, the second-row duo will sit out the Newlands game, but otherwise Fleck said he was planning to select the strongest possible side as they aim to build momentum before the playoffs.

Stormers co-captain Frans Malherbe will still need to pass a fitness test in order to be cleared to play, while Oli Kebble, Robert du Preez and JC Janse van Rensburg are all training with the squad after injuries.
