Renaldo Bothma produced a Man of the Match performance for the Bulls against the Cheetahs, according to SARugbymag.co.za's Opta-powered stats.

The No 8 scored two tries, one in each half, and made 130m from eight carries. He was less impressive on defence, missing four of the seven tackles he was required to make, but did force a turnover.

The Bulls led 18-3 at half-time despite having just 33% of the possession, but had pushed that figure up to 44% by the end of the game. They did more with the ball they had than the Cheetahs, scoring five tries to two.

The Bulls finished with slightly more running metres – 450 to 420 – and kicked more from hand than their opponents (21 to 13).
