Stormers lock Ruan Botha has been ruled out of Saturday's match with the Brumbies, while Juan de Jongh is an injury doubt.
Botha suffered an ankle injury in the defeat against the Cheetahs at the weekend, and could be out for up to six weeks.
De Jongh, who led the Stormers in the absence of Duane Vermeulen on their overseas tour, has been ruled out with a hip pointer injury which he suffered during the first half in Bloemfontein.
Meanwhile, Jaco Taute is set to make his first appearance of the year, and is likely to get 40 minutes for the Western Province Vodacom Cup side at the weekend.
'Giving him 40 minutes in the Vodacom Cup is the initial plan, but with our injuries at present we could slot him into the team against a quality Brumbies outfit,' said Stormers coach Allister Coetzee. 'It’s a decision we will still have to make and one we will make before Thursday’s team announcement.'
Michael Rhodes (hamstring) and Kobus van Wyk (knee) remain a couple weeks away from a return.
