Former Varsity Sports chief executive Duitser Bosman has ruled himself out of the running for the vacant position of Bulls CEO.
Bosman, as well as Titans CEO Jacques Faul, was mentioned as a potential replacement for the outgoing Barend van Graan.
However, Bosman posted a message on social media which stated that he is not interested in the post.
‘I decided against applying for the Bulls CEO job,’ Bosman wrote. ‘Personal reasons and exceptionally unique challenges, which could have a special effect in the sports world when I deduct it, brought me to this point after several discussions, deep reflection and lots of prayers.
‘I believe the panel will appoint an outstanding person, who will be very successful, because our beloved game needs it.’
Last month, Faul also distanced himself from the role.
‘I am very happy at the Titans, and also very excited about what we are trying to do as a brand and as an internationally recognised franchise. To that end, I have no plans to leave the Titans, despite speculation suggesting this,’ Faul said via a press statement.
