The Border Rugby Union has closed its offices at the Buffalo City Stadium as the union’s financial troubles continue.
It will be the first time in the union’s 126-year history that they do not have a headquarters or a stadium.
According to Rapport, the remaining administrative personnel will work from home while the administration of the union is dealt with.
The report states that the union cannot afford to pay the R90,000 a month required to continue to rent the stadium, which will fall into the hands of the municipality.
The Border senior team will play no games for the next two years due to the union’s cash crisis.
