The Springboks remain fifth in the World Rugby rankings after their 18-17 win against France in Paris on Saturday.
The result earned South Africa a 0.86 of a rating point increase (from 84.04 to 84.90) to strengthen their hold on the No 5 position.
France stay eighth, but their rating was decreased by 0.86 of a point from 79.63 to 78.77.
At the top, New Zealand’s lead has been trimmed down to 3.12 as a result of England gaining 0.73 of a point after their 30-6 win over the Wallabies.
Lower down, Argentina moved up to ninth following their 31-15 victory over Italy, while Fiji drop to 10th.
