The new issue of SA Rugby magazine looks at the Springboks’ attacking ambition this season.
To beat the All Blacks in Wellington during this year’s Rugby Championship, the Springboks had to score five tries.
Yes, they also had to make 235 tackles and defend as if their lives depended on it, but without the ability to cross the whitewash, they wouldn’t have won.
In the new issue of SA Rugby magazine, on sale this week, we look at the attacking evolution of the Boks under Rassie Erasmus and assistant coach Swys de Bruin, and the first-choice back three in particular.
Aphiwe Dyantyi has had an outstanding season on the left wing, while a fit-again S’bu Nkosi should regain the No 14 jersey in November. Both players have benefited from the calming influence and attacking impact of veteran fullback Willie le Roux.
