Kwagga Smith claimed a first-half hat-trick as the Blitzboks secured their place in the final of the Dubai Sevens with a clinical 28-0 victory over New Zealand.
Heading into the semi-final Gordon Tietjens' side had amassed 24 tries in four matches, but were held scoreless by a more determined South African outfit.
It was about as polished a performance as you're likely to see from the Blitzboks, who had earlier crushed Argentina 40-0 in a one-sided quarter-final.
Kwagga Smith was in imperious form, while Neil Powell once again made good use of his bench as the Boks kept up the intensity throughout the match.
The Boks will now face Australia in the Cup final, after they completed a remarkable turnaround to eliminate the Gold Coast winners, Fiji.
The match is scheduled for 6:10pm South African time.
