Afrikaans singer Steve Hofmeyr says his ‘Die Blou Bul’ song will no longer be played before Bulls matches at Loftus because of ‘politics’.
Hofmeyr claimed on Twitter that the song, which has been played since 1997, had been ‘banned’.
Dis in 2018 verban. Ek kies dan ‘n ander span. pic.twitter.com/iI5dc6KCfN

However, Bulls spokesperson Shanil Mangaroo said this was not the case.
‘We deny banning the song. We have simply decided to change up the playlist and to rotate songs.’
