The Blitzboks thrashed Wales 31-0 in the Cup quarter-finals of the Vancouver Sevens on Sunday.
The Springbok Sevens will now face World Rugby Seven Series leaders Fiji in the Cup semi-finals, while New Zealand will take on Australia.
Having comfortably beaten Scotland, Brazil and Argentina during the pool stages, South Africa had little trouble in dispatching the Welsh, a side that they'd only ever lost to on one previous occasion.
Seabelo Senatla scored within the first minute of the quarter-final, while Rosco Speckman dotted down twice before the break as the Blitzboks established a commanding 21-0 lead.
Kwagga Smith coasted over for the Blitzboks' fourth try soon after the restart, while Bryan Habana showed good skill to finish off one final try with the last play of the game.
