The Blitzboks began the defence of their Dubai Sevens title with a comfortable 31-0 win over Zimbabwe on Friday. CRAIG LEWIS reports.
The Springbok Sevens have come into the opening leg of the 2018-19 World Rugby Sevens Series with a target on their backs after clinching back-to-back titles over the past two seasons.
With this in mind, the Blitzboks would have been pleased with their solid start to proceedings, which saw Siviwe Soyizwapi and Branco du Preez dot down during a dominant first half to send them into a 14-0 lead at the break.
