The Blitzboks have been drawn in a pool with Samoa, the USA and Canada for this weekend's London Sevens.
Neil Powell’s men will be looking for revenge in Pool A after the Pacific Islanders knocked the South Africans out of the Cup race in Paris last weekend at the quarter-final stage, and then went on to beat Fiji 29-26 in the final.
The Blitzboks are currently placed second on the overall series log, 14 points behind leaders Fiji, with only a mathematical chance of eclipsing the islanders and claiming their first series title since the 2008-09 season.
They will be hoping Australia, England and Wales can repeat Samoa’s heroics in Paris and prevent Fiji from progressing to the Cup quarter-finals from Pool B if they are to stand any chance of being crowned champions for the 2015-16 series, provided they progress to the Cup section themselves.
