THE MONEY MAN is putting R2,500 on the Springboks to beat Ireland in the final Test at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Last week I made a profit of over R5,000 thanks to England dominating Australia in Melbourne. However, I would tread carefully on the third game in this series. I hate betting on dead rubbers, but I do fancy the Wallabies to beat Eddie Jones's boys to avoid a series whitewash. The odds aren't good enough for me to wager any money, though.
So, let's get to the game that is worth a punt or two.
South Africa showed some resolve to come back in the final quarter at Ellis Park, after trailing by 16 points at half-time. This is not a good Ireland team and on the back of that form, I expect more of the same from the Springboks, only this time it will be an 80-minute display and not a 20-minute cameo.
This is the third game and the Boks should be the more cohesive unit and, with their depth, a lot more capable of driving home an emphatic win. I'll be placing a R2,500 bet on the Boks to beat Ireland by 10 or more. It pays R2,200 and my stake back.
I will place another fun bet on Allister Coetzee's charges. For R500, to win back R4,000 and my stake, I'm backing the Boks to thump Ireland by 30 or more in the Friendly City.
