David Beckham says he prefers watching live rugby to football.

The former England and Manchester United star said the 'nastiness' displayed by some football crowds had made him feel 'uneasy'.

The Rugby World Cup had shown him how people could sit together pleasantly at a game.

'I love rugby,' he told the Radio Times. 'I love watching it and I love the whole thing. I have enjoyed going to Twickenham more than I have enjoyed watching football.'

When asked why, he elaborated: 'People sitting together with no nastiness.'
