Griquas hooker Ryno Barnes will face a disciplinary hearing for calling referee Pro Legoete a 'p**s' during their defeat to the Blue Bulls.
Barnes received a red card for the incident that occurred in the 72nd minute, shorty after coming on to win his 100th Currie Cup cap.
His actions were in breach of Law 10.4 (m) and (s). Law 10.4 (m) states that a player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship in the playing enclosure, while Law 10.4 (s) states that all players must respect the authority of the referee and must not dispute the referee’s decisions.
The hearing will take place in Kimberley on Thursday.
