THE MONEY MAN is putting R2,000 on the Springboks to beat Argentina comfortably in Salta on Saturday.
Last week, the Boks played awful and won an ugly game of rugby. They left 16 points on the field that should have been scored. And even if they had scored those points and won by a decent margin, the Boks still flattered to deceive.
I maintain that Argentina are not a good team, but my concern is not with any players rather with the Springbok coaching staff.
That said, Argentina have only beaten South Africa once and home advantage will mean nothing in this game. Flying to Salta is not taxing from a travelling point of view and will actually be a pleasant tour for the Bok players, which allows for an extra week of working together and developing cohesion.
I doubt the Boks can play any worse than they did in Nelspruit last week. So, with the bookies offering a 9/10 bet on them to win by four or more points, I reckon there is value to be had.
They should win by 15 and I'm putting down R2,000 on the Springboks to comfortably win by that margin. The bet placing pays out R1,800 plus my stake back.
