The Wallabies have moved up to second place in the World Rugby rankings following their crushing 33-13 victory over England at Twickenham on Saturday.
Australia's win, which dumped England out of the World Cup, earns them 2.58 rating points – up from 86.75 to 89.33. They usurp Wales, who failed to collect any points because their opposition, Fiji, are ranked so low.
England's humiliation is further compounded after being relegated two positions from sixth to eighth, with a 2.58 decrease in ranking points. Their decline, however, is beneficial to France and Argentina, who move up to seventh and sixth place respectively.
Following their comfortable 34-16 win over Scotland in Newcastle, the Springboks have risen to fourth, with an improved ranking of 84.58. They overtake Ireland, who again didn't gain any rating points after a hard-fought 16-9 victory over Italy.
Lower down, Samoa's World Cup struggles see them drop from 11th spot to 15th, below Japan, Tonga, Italy and Georgia.
