England wing Chris Ashton will appeal his 10-week suspension for an eye-gouging incident.

Ashton was suspended after a recent review of an incident during a European Champions Cup match against Ulster, with the ban set to rule him out of England's Six Nations campaign.

However, Saracens confirmed that Ashton will be appealing against the level of the sanction imposed, with the date of the new hearing still to be confirmed.
