Flank Sam Cane will be sidelined for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.
Cane had a strong game against Argentina in Hamilton but was forced off early after picking up the injury.
Coach Steve Hansen confirmed Cane’s chances of featuring in the rest of the Rugby Championship didn’t look good.
‘He’s in a bit of pain, so that’s not a good sign when you’ve got a hammy,’ said Hansen.
Meanwhile, prop Joe Moody suffered the same fate as Beast Mtawarira after being issued with an off-field yellow card. It was found he contravened Law 10.4(e): Dangerous tackling of an Opponent, including a tackle or attempted tackle above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders.
Moody made contact with lock Guido Petty in the 39th minute of the All Blacks’ 57-22 bonus-point win over Argentina.
