Better late than never might’ve been the saying of the day as All Blacks legend Dan Carter was rewarded with his boyhood club’s blazer after seven years.

Carter enjoyed a successful outing as Southbridge smashed West Melton 54-14. The 38-year-old starred throughout as he added six conversions en route to making a Super Rugby return for the Blues.
After the encounter, he donned Southbridge blazer for the first time since being awarded honorary membership in 2013 following his 100th cap for New Zealand.
The man presenting the No 10 his blazer was none other than Neville Carter, also an honorary member and capped over 300 times by the club.
‘Very proud, yes. It was a very special moment for the club to recognise the service he’s done for them over the years – not only promoting the game, but promoting the township of Southbridge,’ Neville Carter told Stuff.
His son’s first match for the outfit was as a five-year-old and his last in 2015.
