Lions prop Ruan Dreyer will miss the rest of the season after fracturing his wrist in last Saturday’s game against the Kings.
Dreyer will undergo surgery on Tuesday and it has been confirmed that he will be out of action for six months. The Lions have recently been without the services of fellow front rowers Julian Redelinghuys (wrist injury) and hooker Malcolm Marx (neck), but it's hoped that they could recover in time to feature this weekend.
The Lions' next Super Rugby game is against the Hurricanes in Johannesburg on Saturday.
