Highlanders centre Jason Emery has received a four-week suspension for a dangerous tackle on Willie le Roux.
A Sanzaar judicial hearing found him guilty of taking the Sharks fullback out in the air as he contested for the ball. Emery pleaded guilty to the charges.
The infringement carries a six-week suspension, but was reduced by two weeks due to Emery's clean disciplinary record, his immediate apology in person and on social media to Le Roux after the match, and his guilty plea.
The suspension will see Emery missing out on rugby up to and including Saturday, 21 May.
