THE MONEY MAN is betting on the Lions to beat the Kings by 25 points or more in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
I'm only betting on five of the eight Super Rugby matches this weekend, but will be giving in-running advice and placing bets during all the games, and posting tips on my Facebook page. You can also check out my SuperBru picks.
Highlanders vs Sharks
The Highlanders are a much better side than the Blues, who beat the Sharks last weekend. For that reason, I'm placing a R1,000 bet to win R1,600 plus my stake back on the Highlanders to defeat the Sharks by 18 or more points in Dunedin.
Rebels vs Cheetahs
Because I'm not taking the Cheetahs' 92-17 victory against the Sunwolves into consideration, I'm backing the Rebels to win by seven or more points. I'm taking a R1,000 bet on this, which pays out R900 and my stake.
Sunwolves vs Jaguares
I'm not going to invest any of my money in this basement battle, but for those of you who want to, go with the Jaguares to win by no fewer than 20 points.
Hurricanes vs Chiefs
This is going to be a close one. The Chiefs haven't done much wrong this season, so I will put down R500 on them to record an outright win in Wellington.
Force vs Waratahs
This is the one game to avoid watching this weekend, but I'm going to place a R500 bet on the Force to win by at least five points.
Stormers vs Reds
Though I'm not going to bet on this match, it should be an easy victory for the Stormers at Newlands. I think the hosts will beat the Reds by 10 or more points.
Kings vs Lions
The Lions are the best South African team and the Kings the worst. I'm making this game my banker with a R5,000 bet on the Lions to beat the Kings by 25 or more points and will win back R4,500 plus my stake if it pays out.
Brumbies vs Crusaders
This is one of the tougher games to call this weekend. I'm not betting on this crunch clash in Canberra, but if I had to, I'd go Brumbies by three.

R250 pays out R6,592 but all five bet placings have to win in order for you to collect the payout.
– 9/10 on the Lions to win by at least 25 points
– 9/10 on the Waratahs to win by five or more
– 11/10 on an outright win for the Chiefs against the Hurricanes
– 9/10 on the Rebels to beat the Cheetahs
– 9/10 on the Highlanders to defeat the Sharks by 12 or more points
