The three Du Preez brothers, and their Springbok father, are on the cover of the new SA Rugby magazine.
Saturday, 27 February 2016 will never be forgotten in the Du Preez household. At 3pm, 20-year-old twins Jean-Luc and Daniel made their Super Rugby debuts for the Sharks against the Kings in Port Elizabeth.
Both had great games, but it was Jean-Luc who received the Man of the Match award. At 5:05pm, 22-year-old Robert earned his first Super Rugby cap, scoring 23 points in the Stormers’ win against the Bulls, and was named Man of the Match. Their father, former Springbok scrumhalf and current Sharks assistant coach Rob Snr, would have been bursting with pride.
A few weeks later, SA Rugby magazine visited the Du Preez family in Durban to find out more about the role Rob Snr has played in his sons’ lives, and the close relationship between Rob Jnr, Jean-Luc and Daniel. The result is an insightful, informative read.
