Chris Dry will replace the injured Impi Visser for the Los Angeles Sevens tournament this weekend.
Visser has suffered an ankle injury, with Dry set to fly out later today, and will join up with the squad on Saturday.
The Blitzboks are currently second on the World Rugby Sevens Series standings, and will be looking to make up more ground on New Zealand.
