Sharks flyhalf Tim Swiel will rejoin Premiership club Harlequins on a full-time contract.
The England-qualified 21-year-old joined Harlequins in October last year on a four-month loan deal and returned to the Sharks in February.
During his short time at The Stoop, Swiel made 10 senior appearances across the Anglo-Welsh Cup, English Premiership and European Champions Cup.
Swiel, who was born in Somerset, attended Bishops in Cape Town and played for SA Schools in 2011. However, he ruled himself out of selection for the 2013 Junior World Championship as, under IRB rules, playing for the SA U20 team would have made him ineligible to represent another international team.
'It's with great excitement that I am committing to Harlequins full-time,' said Swiel in a statement. 'The decision wasn't a tricky one due to the fact I had such a great time on my loan spell. The Harlequins set-up and supporter base is amazing and I can't wait to wear the quarters again.'
