Wasps flanker Ashley Johnson has received a three-week ban for his tackle on Leinster winger Dave Kearney during a European Champions Cup fixture on Saturday.
The 28-year-old was shown a yellow card by referee Jerome Garces for the incident, which occurred in the first minute of the 20-20 draw at the Ricoh Arena.
Johnson was found to have contravened Law 10.4(i) and was deemed guilty of tackling the jumper in the air. Kearney was replaced shortly after the incident, and is set to miss Ireland's opening Six Nations matches with a shoulder injury.
Johnson is free to play on Monday, 16 February. Both the player and EPCR have the right to appeal the decision.
