The Lions have made three changes to their starting lineup for Sunday’s crunch match against the Sharks in Ellis Park.
In the only change to the backline, Manni Rass comes in at inside centre to partner Wandisile Simelane in the midfield. Eddie Fouche falls out of the match 23.
Up front, openside flank James Venter and tighthead prop Frans van Wyk earn starts at the expense of Marnus Schoeman and Johannes Jonker. It’ll be Van Wyk’s debut for the Lions, having joined the union from the Bulls recently.
In a significant boost for the Lions, veteran prop Jacobie Adriaanse (calf strain) and star loose forward Cyle Brink (broken wrist) have recovered in time to be included on the bench for this match.
