Former Wallabies fullback Israel Folau Folau to contest termination notice
Published on April 17, 2019 | Leave a response

Israel Folau will appeal Rugby Australia’s decision to serve him with a breach notice for his recent posts on social media.

The 30-year-old Christian shared a graphic on Instagram that stated that ‘hell awaits’ homosexuals and those guilty of other ‘sins’.

Those that are living in Sin will end up in Hell unless you repent. Jesus Christ loves you and is giving you time to turn away from your sin and come to him. _______________ Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these , adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19‭-‬21 KJV _______________ Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38 KJV _______________ And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Acts 17:30 KJV _______________

Rugby Australia had issued Folau with a notice of termination on Monday, giving him 48 hours to accept the sanction or refer the matter to a code of conduct hearing.

However, Rugby Australia announced on Wednesday that Folau has chosen the latter and that it would start organising a hearing with the Rugby Union Players’ Association.

‘Israel has responded formally today to request a code of conduct hearing which, under the circumstances, was not an unexpected outcome,’ Rugby Australia chief executive Raelene Castle said.

‘We will now work to confirm a date for the hearing as soon as possible. After the date for the hearing is confirmed, Rugby Australia and the NSW Rugby Union will make no further comment on the matter until the code of conduct process has concluded.’
