Vodacom Bulls duo Eli Snyman and Ruan Steenkamp have been ruled out for six and four weeks respectively due to injuries.

Lock Snyman sustained a grade three AC shoulder-joint injury against the Jaguares, while Steenkamp took a knock to the head that left him concussed. Further assessments confirmed that the loose forward had suffered a fractured jaw.

Meanwhile, lock RG Snyman (ankle) and wing Duncan Matthews (ankle surgery) have made full recoveries from their injuries and are available for selection for the match against the Reds.

Loose forwards Marco van Staden and Roelof Smit played in the Blue Bulls’ Rugby Challenge warm-up last weekend and came through unscathed. Both are expected to return to the Vodacom Super Rugby fold this week.

Another second rower, Jason Jenkins, and fullback Warrick Gelant are also on the mend. They will resume full training with the squad, but will be monitored throughout the week before a decision on their availability.
