Lock Courtney Lawes has been ruled out of the remainder of the Six Nations due to an injury he sustained against Wales in Cardiff on Saturday.
Following their shock 21-13 defeat to Wales at the Millennium Stadium, England’s misery has been compounded with confirmation that Lawes has suffered a calf strain.
He was forced to leave the field late in the second half, underwent a scan on Sunday and has subsequently been ruled out for a minimum of four weeks.
Lawes is expected to return to his club, the Northampton Saints, for rehabilitation.
