Werner Kok and Justin Geduld both required minor surgery after being injured during the Cape Town Sevens.
Kok suffered some facial fractures and underwent surgery on Monday night. He is expected to make a full recovery in time for the Hamilton Sevens from 26-27 January.
Geduld will have a procedure on Tuesday to remove cartilage from his knee, while the Blitzboks’ medical staff are awaiting the results of scans on Philip Snyman (shoulder) and Muller du Plessis (rib), neither of whom featured on the second day.
The Blitzboks will also be without Rosko Specman, who will take up his role with the Bulls for Super Rugby.
