Siviwe Soyizwapi scored three tries in the Blitzboks’ 43-0 win over Zimbabwe at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday. JON CARDINELLI reports.
The Blitzboks will go into their final pool match against New Zealand (7:56pm) with momentum and confidence. After scoring a convincing 22-12 win against Samoa earlier in the day, South Africa delivered a dominant performance against lowly Zimbabwe to maintain their perfect record.
Siviwe Soyizwapi (twice), Rosko Specman and Kyle Brown scored to ensure that the Blitzboks went to the break with a commanding 26-0 lead. Justin Geduld struck after half-time to put the result beyond doubt.
Impi Visser claimed his second try of the day in the dying moments. Soyizwapi added another shortly before the final whistle to complete his hat-trick.
