Springbok and Sharks flank Jean-Luc du Preez has returned to training and will be available for the Currie Cup playoffs, writes CRAIG LEWIS.
Du Preez underwent surgery on a long-standing groin injury towards the end of August, but he has made a swift recovery and is now nearing a return to action.
It’s good news for the Sharks, who are set to face Griquas this Saturday, before heading into an expected home semi-final.
The Boks will also be pleased to see that Du Preez is in line to receive some game-time before then coming into consideration for the end-of-year tour.
The 23-year-old started the first Test against England in June, while he played off the bench in the next two clashes.
However, he didn’t feature in the Rugby Championship, and upon his release back to Sharks, he took the opportunity to treat a groin injury.
The Boks will face England on 3 November before taking on France, Scotland and Wales.
