Flank CJ Velleman will play off the Kings bench in their Pro14 match against the Glasgow Warriors in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
The 23-year-old will make a welcome return for the Eastern Cape franchise after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury.
Coach Deon Davids has made five personnel changes and two positional swaps to the starting lineup.
Martin du Toit’s inclusion at flyhalf sees Masixole Banda switch to fullback and Michael Botha drop to the reserves. At scrumhalf, Rudi van Rooyen rotates into the run-on XV with Godlen Masimla providing cover.
Davids tweaked the back row, where Ruaan Lerm and Henry Brown replace Martinus van Schalkwyk and Steph de Wit. With Lerm playing No 8, Andisa Ntsila shifts to blindside flank. In the second row Bobby de Wee earns a start ahead of Schalk Oelofse.
